Dua Lipa was born on 22nd august 1995, in London, United Kingdom. She decided to sign to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was an actress and then dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album peaked at 3rd place in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at number six in the United States. Lipa has been awarded Brit Awards in 2018 in the categories of British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act and British. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. There are two sisters, Rina Gjin and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who is also the lead musician and vocalist for The Kosovan group Oda. At home, her father would perform his own compositions and songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. When she was nine, she began to learn how to sing. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Don't Have You and Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. The contract for her record signed with Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. In August of 2015 the debut track of hers New Love came out.
