Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. She was a student of acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school like the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in the six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi, the lead role in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was then removed from the air. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the ABC drama series Revenge in two episodes. In May 2013 that she would leave the series after making a guest episode in the very first season of the third. In the TV series Salem, she played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a big family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents Roy and Patty along with her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks since her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, as well as both during winter and summer. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She would dance. At 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. Additionally, she was awarded best soloist awards at all major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
